Desires Candles was born from a simple belief — that fragrance has the power to transform a moment.
How it all began
It started in a small kitchen in 2019, with a pot of melted soy wax, a handful of fragrance oils, and an obsession with getting the scent just right. Diane Velazquez had spent years searching for candles that felt truly personal — warm without being heavy, floral without being sweet, clean without being cold.
When she couldn't find them, she made them. What began as gifts for friends and family quickly grew into something more. Word spread. Orders followed. And Desires Candles was born.
Today, every candle is still hand-poured in small batches, using the same care and the same commitment to quality that started it all.
The hand-poured process
No shortcuts. No mass production. Just craft.

We use 100% natural soy wax sourced from US-grown soybeans — clean-burning, long-lasting, and kind to the environment.
Blend
Each fragrance is blended in-house from premium fragrance oils and essential oils, tested across dozens of iterations until the scent throw is exactly right.
Pour
Candles are hand-poured at a precise temperature to ensure an even, smooth finish and a clean, consistent burn from first light to last.
Cure
Every candle cures for a minimum of 48 hours before it leaves our studio — giving the fragrance time to fully bind with the wax for the best possible scent experience.
